Challenge
Rural micro-entrepreneurs wanted to add value to local crops but lacked an affordable, clean way to dry produce to a quality buyers would accept.
Solution
Through a livelihood partnership, Rudra solar dryers were placed with trained entrepreneurs, giving them hygienic, fuel-free drying capacity sized to their businesses.
Results
Entrepreneurs began producing consistent, dust-free dried spices and produce, improving both their margins and the reliability of their supply.
“Reliable, clean drying capacity is often the missing link between a raw crop and a sellable product.”
